True Limited Edition

Moore has followed the traditional process of etching: gently drawing into ground-covered copperplates, exposing the plates to acid, then having each image hand-pulled through a press. He has used Archival cotton paper for these works to ensure their viability for hundreds of years. Also, in the interest of maintaining the traditional quality of his work, he did not choose to have his plates nickel faced, which would have preserved them beyond the normal life of an etched plate. It is Moore's desire to stay as close to the pure art form as possible. Because his actual copperplates have not been sealed in nickel, they will, by the time they have been used to print approximately 100 prints, have fatigued to where they are unusable making these images truly limited.
